The campus of Mougins School, with its elegant wooden buildings and grassed recreational areas, is an ideal learning environment. On the edge of the Sophia Antipolis high-technology park, it is integrated into the surrounding forest. The facilities include three Science Laboratories, two Art Studios, Music Rooms, a dedicated IT suite, a Performing Arts Centre, a Library containing 10,000 books and several computers for research work, a synthetic football pitch, an outdoor games area and a magnificent state-of-the-art Gymnasium capable of seating 200 spectators. The ‘Café des Amis’ serves freshly cooked lunches every day and students are able to pass a convivial moment with friends and teachers, using the outdoor terrace which is also available throughout the year.
Academic achievement is vitally important in this non-selective School, but the Performing Arts (Music, Speech and Drama) and Sport play an equally important part in the daily life of a student. Two major theatrical productions are offered each year as well as the Spring and Winter Concerts, together with smaller events throughout the year. The Talent Show, organized by the PTA, regularly discovers new talent of all ages. The students regularly participate in local and national sporting activities.
The PTA (Parent Teacher Assciation), a group of committed parents, regularly organizes dynamic social and fund-raising events at the School. A welcoming committee greets new families in September and provides them with relevant information concerning their work. With their support the School purchased its first bus, installed the sound and lighting system for the Performing Arts Centre and created the junior playground, among many other purchases important to the everyday life and comfort of its students.
The School also believes an awareness of humanitarian needs is important within its community and regularly initiates fund-raising exercises for local and international charities. Students and staff regularly participate in Red Nose Day and Sidaction and one of the goals for 2009/10 is to raise enough money to provide a Guide Dog for the Blind, supporting an Association to whom they have contributed for sixteen years.

The philosophy of Mougins School is designed to encourage pupils to develop morally, emotionally, culturally, intellectually and physically. The School believes that pupils learn best when they are encouraged, valued, trusted and respected. Pupils develop continuously. Mougins School sets out to provide conditions and experiences that sustain and encourage this development.
